About Me

This was me before I discovered graffiti, I wandered aimlessly through life with little direction or motivation…..

It’s a slight exaggeration of course, basically the kids grew up and I was at that awkward stage of rediscovering ‘self’, whatever that is.

I’ve been a keen amateur photographer from being a teenager and was amazed when I discovered the street art scene in Sheffield. It was quite by chance, about 4 years ago, through a piece by Phlegm. I rapidly realised there is a whole different world out there, populated by hugely talented people I had known nothing about, much of there work hidden in places you’d never think to look. I’ve been documenting through my photos as much of their art as possible ever since and my message is simple – I’ve seen this, you should see it too.

It started as a hobby but became more and more of an obsession, although I concentrate mainly on Sheffield, I have been starting to wander further afield, the more I see, the more I want to see.

I have met quite a few artists on my journey and have made some good friends. I also know a few like-minded individuals who are as driven as me, good to know I’m not the only one, in fact there are quite a few of us out there.

One artist called me Sheffields’ own Martha Cooper, a humbling compliment and very much appreciated. I hope I can live up to it. The Legendary Martha is still getting out there photographing american graffiti, in her 60’s, if I can emulate her I’ll be truly happy.

Thank you so much! I was like that once, I have missed so much that had gone before, graffiti and streetart pieces are generally so short lived, I look at everything differently now and try to find as much as I can!
