Alert HA, good innit?

The last 10 photos of the pieces featured in this blog post were part of an organised event to brighten up the Sheffield Antiques Quarter, the vision was the brainchild of Hendrika Stevens with a little (a lot) help from Kisk (Smashproof), coordinating artists. I wasn’t able to go on the day, but many others did. The event was such a success, they are doing it again in September this year.

Seeing Double

As it stands I’m now about 5-6months behind with my blog posts, but you know what, it’s actually quite liberating. I’m beyond racing to catch up, instead I get a little rush of nostalgia as I get to look back. If anyone’s still reading, you might enjoy it too…

dscf2543_28977664316_o-960x1280Another lovely Coloquix, hidden in a beautiful little place.

dscf2652_28997367956_o-1280x960Only lasted 2 or 3 days this, no idea who it was by, but it was a nice surprise to find one morning on my way to work.

Smashproof at Onboard

dscf1457-1280x960Aroe, Jaer and Alert, just a little bit awesome, or maybe a lot!

dscf3084-1280x1081Glorious colour combo from Deap.

dscf1482-1280x1026Mc Nige, superstar, was in charge of child management, his methods were unusual, but seemed to work 😀

dscf1476-1280x1124Nope still can’t remember his name, love the piece though.

dscf3077-stitch-1280x459Trik9 pulled off an absolute masterpiece.

DCIM100GOPROGOPR0415.I didn’t get to this event till late on in the day, after work, but the sun was still blazing and there was a really good atmosphere. Trik9 was just coming round after fainting from the heat, too much dancing, I was informed…. And yet Mila K hadn’t managed to catch a single ray, perhaps there’s a bit more to this Horror Kult than I realised… 😉

Kisk has put together a great event, again, looking forward to the next one!

DSCF0238 (1280x1094)Classic Kisk, it’s a shame that this and the piece above have since been gone over but nothing lasts forever and it was Smashproof!

As you may have noticed, these are a bit few and far between at the moment, I’ve been very busy with another project that will come to fruition in a couple of weeks. In the meantime I’ve got a serious backlog of photos to go through…

His devastated family are trying to raise money for a memorial bench, if you can contribute please do. RIP Olta xx  https://crowdfunding.justgiving.com/danielle-hancock?utm_id=106&utm_term=2EBn4eK7a

DSCF5061 StitchByne x Jelus

DSCF4972Nurse Agnes, a new name to me, loving this style though.                     DSCF4956Brayk, I do like a nice skull.                         DSCF4951Coloquix luscious lady inspired by Gustav Klimt, whose lavish, sexual paintings came to symbolize the art nouveau style of the late nineteenth and early twentieth century. I knew that…. no I didn’t…never heard of the chap!

DSCF4920Foundry, man’s got paint on the brain 🙂 DSCF4916Monstery and Me, rather fond of these toothy little paste ups.DSCF4887David Bowie tribute by Bubba 2000

DSCF4832Jonas, going around the bend and still looking good.

DSCF4829Another funky piece from Alas

DSCF4819Love the colours in this stunner from Mila K.

DSCF4797So, this is the Bowie tribute that went viral for all the wrong reasons, and was seriously unfair in my opinion. Trik9 was well out of his comfort zone doing this and yet he did a great job I think it’s amazing, anyone can take a bad photo or deliberately distort an image, never saw that persons name all over the place though.

DSCF4788Another Bowie tribute, sweet and totally not controversial, unless someone’s taken exception to it of course.

DSCF4780More x Dose, first paint after Christmas I think.

DSCF4774Xhastexo, living it up.

DSCF4763Dealt, is he local or a visitor, I really don’t know, great stuff though.

DSCF4337 Stitcha (10000x1363)Mats x Bern x Kode, first grand collab of the new year, first of many I hope.
